Our Team
Brian Johnston
President
A graduate from New Mexico State University, Brian Johnston set out to enhance New Mexico’s HVAC industry, and with it, the state as a whole. With a bachelor’s degree in Business & Marketing, Brian joined The Johnston Company in 1991, working in the service department, performing in-house estimating and outside sales, and later serving as Vice President. Now, Brian serves as President of The Johnston Company, something he takes great pride. Outside of work, Brian enjoys many mountain sports, such as fly fishing, hunting, and mountain biking, and spending time with his wife, Amy, and their two sons. He hopes to one day take to the water, catch a wave, and experience surfing!
Sue Chavez
Vice President
Sue Chavez’s journey with The Johnston Company began in 1980 as office manager, in which she oversaw the accounting department. Now, she serves as Vice President, contributing years of experience and education, as a Central New Mexico Community College graduate where she studied accounting and business. Aside from work, Sue enjoys reading and listening to music in addition to spending time with her family outdoors, participating in camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and gardening.
Kevin Givens
Outside Sales Engineer
Kevin joined The Johnston Co. team in 2009 after successful careers at Eclipse Aviation and Intel Corporation. Kevin holds an MBA from Webster University, and a BS in Biology from New Mexico State University. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys watching movies and snow skiing.
Jeanette Lavery
Warehouse Manager
Jeanette has been with The Johnston Co. since 2007. Her wealth of warehouse operations experience allows her to excel with The Johnston Co.’s busy air filter inventory logistics, custom filter fabrication, order fulfillment, and local order deliveries. Outside of work, Jeanette enjoys gardening and playing with her dogs.
